গল্পের শুরু কোনো রাজপথে –
দিশেহারা পথিকের আর্তনাদে ,
ভেঙ্গে গেলো প্রেমের জোর।
পাল্টালো গল্পের মোর
চারিদিকে শুধু হাহাকার !
সাথী বুঝি ফিরবে না আর ;
প্রেমিকের বুক হলো ফাঁকা ,
প্রেমিকা পড়েছে গাড়ি চাপা ।
এরপর বিষন্ন রাত –
জীবনে শুধু অবসাদ।
বিজ্ঞেরা বোঝালো তখন ;
কি করবি তুই একা এখন ?
তার থেকে যে গেছে যাক  –
তুই বিয়ে করে সুখে থাক –
জোর করে বিয়ে দিলো তারা –
মন তবু দিলো না কো সাড়া ;
সঙ্গম হয় যখন –
মন খোঁজে সেই মুখই তখন ,
যেই মুখে ছিলো ভালোবাসা –
শুধু সাথে থাকবার আশা।

অমিল সমীকরণ মাঝে বহু ভুল,
তাতেই মন আমার ভেবেই আকুল
হারাবার ভয় নেই এই আঁধারেতে
আবার আসবে সকাল বিশ্বাসী তাতে ।
