Author interview: Rahul Tiwari explains the reasons behind writing Parishram
‘Parishram’ highlights on hard work and perseverance, says author Rahul Tiwari
Congratulations on the release of ‘Parishram’. What is the feedback from your friends and readers who have already read your book.
Thank you so much. Well I am glad people are liking the book and few of my young readers are really inspired by the story which makes it a real success.
What kind of books inspire you as a writer? Who are your favorite authors?
I like books which have a good motivational message hidden in them, it can be a fiction or a true story, I like Chetan Bhagat’s writing as it connects with the readers. I also like Ashwin Sanghi and Amish Tripathi.
Why did you want to become a writer? Who inspired you to become a writer? What triggered you to come into writing?
I always thought I was clever at imagining things. When I was a child, I loved reading and imagining things and making my own stories. When my brother Tanmay Dubey wrote his first book, it inspired me to follow in his footsteps which led to our first book ‘ The Amigos’. After that I felt it was time to do it alone and ‘Parishram’ happened.
What are you doing to let readers know about your book?
I am using social media and few interviews like these to let the readers know more about the book so that they can go ahead and buy. Also I would be going to a few schools and colleges and interact with the youth.
Tell me something about your book. Some highlights.
The book highlights on hard work and perseverance. It’s a book of how a little boy becomes a successful man, a rags to riches story.
Tell me something about yourself and your background.
I am an electronics engineer by profession and worked in IT companies for around six years. Then I started feeling the need to follow my dreams ,which included writing. Right now I am working in my home town as a farmer and an entrepreneur and wish to write more and more.
Do you plan to take it up as a full time profession if response is good?
Why not. Writing has always been my passion and if my readers encourage me I would write more and be a mainstream author.
